Our School Day

  • 8:50 Start of the school day

​

  • 9:00 No more entry from the playground. Any child arriving at school after 9:00 to report to the office

​

  • 10:30 - 10:45 Y1 morning play

​​

  • 10:45 - 11:00 Y2 morning play

​

  • 11:15 - 12:15 Reception lunchtime

​

  • 12:00 - 1:00 Year 1 lunchtime

​

  • 12:20 - 1:20 Year 2 lunchtime

​

  • 2:00 – 2:15 Reception afternoon play

​

  • 3:20 End of school day

​

  • 3:25 Uncollected children to be taken to the welfare room

​

 

 

Nursery:    8:30 – 11:30

12:30 – 3:30 (part time nursery)

9:00 - 3:00 (Full time nursery)

 

 

Start of school day

  • Classroom doors open at 8:50 for the start of the school day, so that children can be dropped straight into classes.

​​

  • Green Parrots, Red Robins and Yellow Canaries to be dropped at class playground doors; Blue Jays at foyer door (playground side) and the foyer door opposite Nursery for the Autumn 1. Year 1 children to be dropped through class playground doors. Year 2 children to be dropped at the green door by Blue Jays and walk along the internal corridor to their respective classrooms.

 

  • All children should be in by 8:55, and classroom doors shut at 9:00. Pupil absences, latest etc.

  • Any parent collecting their child in the course of the school day (e.g. because of illness, appointment etc.) must go to the office and their child will be collected from the class by a member of staff, who will hand a blue slip to the class teacher to keep for their records in an event of an emergency evacuation

Dismissing children at the end of the school day

  •          All Reception and Year 1 children to be picked up from same place as morning drop off. In Year 2, Fox Class to               be picked up from the Small Hall, Squirrel Class from the main school entrance, Badger Class from the green                   door by Blue Jays & Hedgehog Class from the door near the swimming pool.

​

  •         Children are only to be collected by adults who are named on their pink collection form, kept in the purple class             profile file.

​

  •         Class teachers are responsible for children until 3:25. After 3:25, uncollected children are to be taken to the                       welfare room and supervised by the welfare officer or senior member of staff.

​
